20th Century Fryston Colliery West Yorkshire Attributed Miners Lamp.A good example made by: 'The Protector Lamp & Lighting Company Limited' and carried by Mr G Eddy Steam Overman at the Fryston Colliery, this details impressed into a brass plaque attached to the lamp. The lamp is accompanied by a brass miner's ID tag stamped '856 Fry'. The lamp is also stamped with the number '3534'. Fryston Colliery West Yorkshire opened in the 1870's and at its peak employed 1,300 miners, the pit closed in 1985.

CONDTION REPORT: Damages as can be seen from the images. No signs of restoration except for re-stuck pieces.
