A late 19th / early 20th century blue and red flambé glazed gilt bronze mounted vase converted to a table lamp In the Louis XVI style, the baluster five necked vase with collar and covers, leaf scrolling handles and grotesque masks, on a leaf and guilloche cast square base, together with a blue silk shade, fitted for electricity, 68cm high including fittings.
MAGRITTE RENE: (1898-1967) Belgian surrealist artist. A.L.S., `René´, written to the verso of a colour picture postcard depicting a group of children playing on the sea shore, [Knokke], 28th August 1962, to his cousin Aline Gonne Magritte, in French.
