An 18th century Chinese Sang-de-Bouef glazed porcelain bottle vase the teardrop shaped body rising to a short neck and strongly everted rim, the evenly coloured glaze paling to a mottled creamy brown at the rim, on a short, slightly flared foot, unusual archaic style three character vertical mark to base, 11in. (28cm.) high, base drilled, two small chips and hairline crack to rim, on a carved hardwood stand on three branch form feet. (2)* Condition: Small chip to top of rim and one smaller chip to underside of rim. Also 2in. hairline from rim. Base has central drilled hole for lamp conversion which has removed central character from mark. A few small scratches and abrasions to glaze on belly of vase.
