Lot 736
A figural metal table lamp and shade, 75cm high overall, together with a brass four branch table lamp, 65cm high (2)Both are dirty, but complete. The wiring looks old on each, but they will be PAT tested prior to the auction. The figural lamp looks to have been adapted and painted on the base a gloss black and has some light chips. The gilt lamp has no shades and the plastic collars that simulate candles have gone brittle and split.

An onyx oil lamp base, with a pink glass font, 64cm high overallOverall condition is complete but dirty. There are fine chips along the corners and edges. The metal is dull. The font appears to be intact, but is dirty, so difficult to see. Stamped with a Messenger's patent. Column has a small flat chip near the base.

A pair of Chinese carved hardstone table lamps, with shades, 89cm high overallOverall complete and stable. Some slight losses and chips, one with a glued section 5cm high, but these are not easy to spot. Lamp bases measure 57cm high to fitting. Dirty. Removed from a house clearance in Essex.

An alabaster oil lamp, with a clear glass font, 68cm high overallOverall is very dirty. The metal parts are tarnished. The glass font appears intact, but is stained and dirty inside. The alabaster looks complete, but there is a rough edge under the flat plinth at the top, where it has been chipped along one side. Stamped with a Messenger's patent to the burner.
