A late 19th century gilt and patinated bronze lamp base, fashioned as a young girl holding a telescope, leaning on a book with a tree rising up behind her, on a rocky base and oval plinth, with floral swags, curved, fluted sides, wreath and foliate ornament, on scrolled leaf feet, 18 1/2"h, later fitted with a brass standard lamp column, 56" h overall
An E J Bodley "Japan" pattern oil lamp with metal work by J Hinks & Sons CONDITION REPORTS The chimney and globe are probably replacements, the metalwork has wear to the guilding down to the brass below in several areas, the guilding on the pottery both to the stand and reservoir is worn in some areas, the guilding to the base is also worn down to the brass - see images for further detail. The hole shown is to the base and not the reservoir. There are no holes in the reservoir that should not be there
A pair of Chinese lacquered and bamboo two tier occasional tables or lamp tables, 79 cm high x 46 cm x 33 cm CONDITION REPORTS Whilst the tables are basically sound there is a colured varnish or laquer which has chipped in several areas particularly around the bamboo base but also to the black laquer on the top - see images for examples. Otherwise the pieces appear in good condition
A modern pine and painted pine dresser, a folding metal framed chair, a gilt framed chair, an early 19th Century mahogany bar back commode armchair, a modern anodised standard lamp in the Art Nouveau style on an oval granite base, together with a further standard lamp Pine desser measures approx 100cm long x 92cm high x 40cm deep
A pair of pierced brass Continental table lamps, a Chinese blue and white and gilt metal table lamp of small proportions, a Doulton Burslem pottery oil lamp with brass reservoir and frosted glass shade, a modern porcelain table lamp decorated with tie-backs and a pewter oil lamp reservoir. Sizes approx 62cm high. CONDITION REPORTS Oil lamp reservoir with no signs of serious damage though with wear conducive with age and use throughout particularly to the guilding down to the brass in most areas. The burner appears to be missing certainly no wick. can see no signs of the action other than the turning button. Other pieces inthis lot again with wear and tear conducive with age and use. The glass shade is basically sound though has two chips to the base of the rims - see images. The frosting has some signs of light blemishes/dirt only visible on close inspection - see images for further detail
