The lamp is decorated with a turquoise-blue (bleu celeste) ground with a circular reserve to each side depicting a portrait and a bouquet of flowers. Each reserve is framed by burnished gilding in the form of a ribbon, leaves, and flowers. There are additional reserves along the base depicting flowers. The vase features gilt-bronze ormolu handles, a neck in the form of budding flowers, and a footed base.
