A late 19th Century French rosewood, mahogany and floral marquetry oval gueridon, bordered with chequer lines and decorated with sprays and sprigs of flowers and foliage, having a pierced brass gallery, containing three drawers in the shaped apron between inlaid simulated fluted uprights, on cabriole legs, united by a kidney-shaped undertier decorated with an open book, quill pen and lamp, terminating in sabots, 50cm (1ft 7 1/2ins) across, 79cm (2ft 7ins) high.* Stamped T.
