A Harvey Guzzini chrome adjustable table lamp, circa 1970's with white Perspex domed shade, with applied label for Harvey Guzzini, Italy. Height 63 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The chromium plating throughout is pitted with rust spots. To the base there is a 4.5 cm x 1.5 cm section of chromium plate missing and further small spots of chromium plate missing. There is a very fine 3.5 cm surface scratch to the white shade in the upper third. The label is very faded.

An Art 400 Psychedelic table lamp, circa 1970's, of rectangular form, each side with a pierced silver coloured plastic grill, the interior with a rotating celluloid sleeve with diagonal striped bands of red, blue, black and yellow, all supported upon a moulded circular foot, height 27 cm width 16.5 cm.

Lot 55

Reginald Fairfax Wells (1877-1951), a Coldrum Pottery vase, loosely modelled on a Chinese Arrow Vase, with a streaky olive green and aubergine glaze, impressed to the underside "Coldrum at Chelsea", (fitted to hold an electric lamp with a pierced base), the vase 28 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is a hole pierced to the bottom to accommodate an electric cable. It would appear that the addition of an electric attachment has caused a crack to appear from the top rim going to just below the handle, underneath the handle and approximately 3 cm across to the other side. The metal attachment cannot be removed to inspect the rim but the outer rim looks to be in good order. The crack does appear to be the only visible fault.

Lot 85

A French Galle style glass table lamp shade, 20th century, signed "Charder", decorated with flying geese above a reed and grass border. Diameter 28 cm. CONDITION REPORT: There are no obvious faults or flaws visible. The shade rings out when tapped. The edge is free from any chips or cracks.

The lamp is in good working order and currently illuminated in the saleroom. There are vacant holes in the top of the item where it has been adapted into a lamp but it is all part of the manufacturing process.

Lot 1702

A Blackamoor figure, 20th century, holding aloft a gilt metal five branch light fitting, a tray in his left hand, standing on the prow of a boat and all on a festooned and faux marble column. Height 207 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The stand is in generally good order. The metal lamp fitting to the top of the torch is clearly a later replacement and has been very badly attached. The stand itself is in very good condition with no issues other than minor marks to the paintwork and the odd scuff. The stand is likely to be around 40 or so years old.
