A Victorian Doulton Lambeth glazed stoneware oil lamp, late 19th century, of baluster form, the body moulded with swallows in flight, above floral and foliate swags, impressed marks to the base, dated 1883, raised on a stepped circular base, fitted with a Hinks' Duplex patent burner, with a period etched glass shade and a Griffin Brand chimney, 21cm diameter, 59cm high Provenance: ex Harlech Castle by reputeCondition report: Well maintained and in full working order, having been used semi-frequently prior to consignment for sale. Shade and chimney associated. Tarnish and discolouration to brass. General light surface wear to body. Some knocks and dents to interior. Some scratches to glass well. Oil currently in the well. General wear commensurate with age and use. Small chips to lower rim of shade.
