1997 Land Rover 90 Wolf Ex-MoDTransmission: manualMileage:117,000Especially built for the Ministry of Defence, it is understood that only approximately 8,000 Defender Wolf’s were made and a large number of those would have been hardtops and/or the 110 variety or left hand drive. These right hand drive soft top or full tilt examples are particularly rare. Sources suggest the upgrades to the standard defender put the Wolf price to the MoD at around £40,000 in 1997/8. Upgrades included a 2” ride height increase due to heavy duty suspension design whilst the chassis on the HD models (Heavy Duty) are said to be eight times stronger than standard and fitted with a heavy duty roll cage, propshaft protection between chassis and hub and heavy duty bumpers. These vehicles also feature sealed headlights with breather pipes to top of windscreen, 113bhp, 300TDi engine with no electronics except fuel pump solenoid, rust proofed chassis from new, gearbox cooling system, reinforced front bulkhead, rails and sills, reinforced Salisbury rear axle and standard reinforced front axle and uprated diffs, 80 litre reinforced fuel tank, very tough and heavy duty Wolf wheels, convoy light system with a light illuminating the white painted rear differential, NATO towing hitch, 24v electrical system plus 24v generator and side mounted spare wheel to name but a few modifications. A few Wolf Defenders have been de-commissioned by the forces and are now in civilian hands but are quite rare, especially ones that have not suffered damage and in excellent condition. Virtually all appear to have been very well maintained mechanically by the MoD as would be expected.This 90 Wolf was originally registered to the Ministry of Defence and used by the Royal Air Force, the military registration mark was KA71AA. It was stationed in various regions all within the UK. Once de-commissioned, this Land Rover was purchased privately and has subsequently been restored to a very high standard, bearing only a few resemblances to the RAF specification Wolf. During the restoration the doors were replaced with Series One doors, giving this a slightly more authentic, rugged Land Rover feel. The interior has been retrimmed in leather and heated seats have been fitted. Now painted in metallic grey and fitted with side steps, lamp protectors, wing protectors and a new canvas roof to the rear, this 90 Wolf is certainly a head turner. Supplied with a V5 registration document and paperwork confirming the cars interesting history, this Land Rover has to be seen to be appreciated, the quality is exceptional.

1969 Volkswagen Beach Buggy 'Trans-Am' Prowler by East Coast Buggies Transmission: manualMileage:397The Meyers Manx beach buggy was huge in California, produced by engineer & boat builder Bruce F. Meyers from 1964 to 1971. The car dominated dune racing in its time, breaking records immediately and was eventually released in road-oriented models. The Manx gained immense popularity around the globe - Steve McQueen drove one in The Thomas Crown Affair, the baddie ran down the poor countess in a beach buggy in the Bond film, 'For Your Eyes Only'.Correctly registered as a 'Volkswagen Beach Buggy' on 4th November 1983, this multi-show winning example has been subject to an extensive restoration. The fully restored 1969 short wheelbase Beetle chassis features a new 'Prowler' body, based on the Manx however with subtle functional improvements. The body, produced by Rob Kilham of East Coast Buggies, the Top Gear / Grand Tour buggies builder! - is finished in a stunning metal flake blend. Power is from a rebuilt Porsche derived Type 4, 1911cc, four-cylinder unit as fitted to Porsche 912/914 & VW 411/412 with genuine Porsche 911 cooling, dual Weber carbs & John Walklett pro-street specification gearbox. Updated four-wheel disk brakes provide plenty of stopping power and Red 9 Spax suspension keeps it all under control. Fully rewired electric using Microsquirt, ECU Master & two Canbus dash keyboards and a full VDO gauge set. Supplied with Extensive history and photographic file, current MoT test certificate valid until June 2023. An extraordinary example of the classic California beach buggy complete with a new short wheelbase Prowler body finished with an integral bespoke 400-micron metal flake blend of 70% black, 25% Tiger gold, & 5% Chameleon gold. The roof is easily removed and is fitted with an 'Airloom Designs' latching hinge & gas strut kit to enable easy access/egress when fitted & opened. The 60's VW Beetle taillight housings and Porsche fan shroud have been painted with the same flake mix as the body to match and included with the body kit are matching metal flake side pods & bucket seats. The chassis has been professionally shortened and strengthened by renowned specialist, Craig Kemp. It's been completely dismantled, stripped to bare metal, etch-primed and four coats of two-part epoxy Raptor protection applied. A 19TH CENTURY FRENCH ORNATE CAST BRASS AND WHITE OVERLAY BOHEMIAN GLASS McGARY'S PATENT LAMP the highly ornate leaf and shell cast triform base with figural mounts to each side; the tapering white overlay cut blue glass stem with sprung candle fitting to the top.80cm high There are no cracks in the glass column. There are chips to the very top of the rim just visible under the brass mount (see images). The base is in good condition with no damage.
