A Victorian oil lamp, with Vaseline glass shade and reservoir and with green onyx and brass column base. Height including chimney 73 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The shade is in very good order with no cracks or chips other than the very minor and typical slight roughness to the bottom edge where it sits in the burner. The front appears to be in good order, we can see no hairline cracks. The wicks both adjust and the snuffer mechanism appears to operate. The brasswork is a little tarnished and there are one or two very small nibbles to the onyx column. The chimney has a very small top edge chip.

A pair of Chinese porcelain vases, in the Canton style converted to table lamps and each with wooden base. Height 86 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This pair of modern lamp bases both have wear to the decoration and gilding in places especially to the necks of the relief moulded figures. Both have been drilled and fitted to the wooden bases but both of them do appear to be physically in good condition free of chips or cracks. The shades supplied are slightly dirty but otherwise in good condition. Height to top of vase including wooden stand 41 cm. Height to top of shade including stand 73.5 cm.

Lot 952

A Victorian brass table oil lamp, with brown striped yellow glass reservoir, knopped stem on black ceramic base, with etched spherical glass shade for same. 58 cm high. CONDITION REPORT: The glass reservoir and chimney for this lot are both in good order with no obvious chips or cracks. The etched spherical shade has minor chipping to both the top and base.

A Victorian brass table oil lamp, of aesthetic design with bulbous reservoir on scrolled rail support and inswept platform base, with yellow glass shade for same. 51 cm high. CONDITION REPORT: The pale yellow glass shade in this lot has a chip to the base which is approximately two thumbnails in width. The chimney is in good condition.

A Victorian brass table oil lamp, the reservoir with classical scene of urns and swags, on plain cylindrical stem and circular base (reservoir and stem possibly associated), with etched cranberry glass shade for same. 58 cm high, and one other brass table oil lamp (lacking shade).

Lot 956

A pair of Victorian copper and brass ships port and starboard lamps, inset respectively with blue and red convex glass. Each 35 cm high. CONDITION REPORT: The red glass has been broken and pieced back together, whilst the name plaque (PORT) on this lamp is also partly missing. Both burners are present.

Lot 965

A Victorian brass table oil lamp, with moulded white glass reservoir, fluted column and cast iron base, with repaired etched glass shade and chimney for same. 65 cm high. CONDITION REPORT: The etched glass shade has been broken and repaired. The burner mechanism operates as it should. So does the extinguisher. The milk glass reservoir appears to be in good order with no cracks or chips. The chimney has minor foot rim nibbles, the brasswork is in structurally good order but somewhat tarnished. The base is in good condition.
