2012 Land Rover Defender 110 XS TD Transmission: manualMileage:1755The Land Rover Defender was launched in 1948 and, incredibly, production only finished in January 2016 after a continuous run of 67 years. Outwardly, there is little to distinguish the post-1983 vehicles from the Series III Land Rover. A full length bonnet, revised grille, plus the fitting of wheel arch extensions to cover wider track axles are the most noticeable changes. Internally, coil springs offered a more comfortable ride and a permanent four-wheel drive system derived from the Range Rover featuring a two speed transfer gearbox with a lockable centre differential. A modernised interior and a new series of progressively more powerful and modern engine characterised things under the skin.Supplied new by Stratstone Land Rover, Mayfair, this one owner from new example was registered new on 15th December 2012 and has covered a mere 1,755 miles. The Indus silver metallic paintwork and leather interior are both in superb condition as you would expect for a car of this mileage. Fitted with various factory options including alloy wheels, seven forward facing seats, checker plating on both front wings and lamp guards. The XS specification also includes heated front seats, air-conditioning, electric front windows, and heated front and rear screens. An Alpine head unit has also been installed with satellite navigation and an Apple Lightning port and Bluetooth connectivity fitted.In excellent condition throughout the Defender is offered with its original owner’s manuals, service book, Clarion remote control and two keys with fobs. The most recent MoT test was on 28th January 2021 at 1,501 miles, which was a first-time pass with no advisories or defects and its most recent scheduled service was in July 2017 at 1,271 miles, where technicians at Stratstone Land Rover Tottenham Service Centre changed the engine oil, filters, brake fluid, transfer case fluid and the front and rear differential oils.
