THE ABYSS (1989) - SeaPar 1200W HMI Underwater Light An original SeaPar 1200W HMI underwater light from James Cameron’s The Abyss. Designed by Richard Mula and Pete Romano specifically for the film, the lamp revolutionized safe underwater lighting and earned the pair a Technical Achievement Award at the 1991 Academy Awards. The light features a heavy metal casing and includes a yolk for mounting purposes.
