A Unis, France Stereoscopes Mattey-Paris 25-slide tabletop viewer. Early twentieth century. Wooden construction and metal hardware, with crank lever for changing views and draws for slide storage in low section. Working mechanism with counter to 25. Later adapted with a lamp to aid light in viewing, and a base board. Together with a chest of eight draws containing approximately 750 slides of a variety of subjects. Viewer height approx 50cm, chest height approx 77cm.
A pair of 20th century, 19th century style lamp bases, with bronzed metal campana shaped urn with twin handles and figures and cart relief design, upon an alabaster and marble type stone columned base, with ball feet, wiring through centre of both lamps, leading to light fitting and bulb, with shades, each approx. 34.7cm high (to top of urns). (2) Further details: untested, will need re-wired and tested, some chips and nibbles to alabaster and marbled areas; loss to bronzed areas to both with wear; surface scratches and general wear.
An early 20th century gilt metal ornate converted lamp base (were candlesticks), having elaborate cast knopped stem with two putti figures cast in relief to sides, upon a ribbed circular base on circular gilt metal stand, with wiring coming from side of stand / base and with bulb and shade, approx. 24.5cm high (up to bulb fitting so top of candle holder area) Further details: untested and need re-wiring; slight loss to gilt metal to areas; general wear etc.
A Chinese famille verte vase converted to lamp base, having enamelled figures, some on carts with horses, with character mark to base, later converted into a lamp base by breaking the top rim and placing a wooden and metal bulb fitting onto, with hole to base side were wire goes, vase approx. 42cm high, along with shade and bulb. further details: vase with some pitting and wear, slight scratching and enamel loss; wiring will need tested and probably re-wired; general wear and bad damage to vase to make it into a lamp base as noted.
An early 20th century Regency style ormolu gilt metal lamp base, of elaborate shape with scrolled supports , banner detail and foliate design, upon a triangular alabaster base, with tasselled shade and later cable, approx. 49cm high (all parts), plug and bulb fitting, untested, in need of re-wiring etc.
