Pullman Type A brass table lamp stamped on the side of the base TC36. Car No.36 was built as a high-density third-class Pullman by the Birmingham Carriage & Wagon Co in 1926. It was principally used on Southern services for much of its life and received bomb damage during World War 2,.by the 1950s its was remodelled with a hand brake, No.36 was used in the Golden Arrow, Devon Belle and Bournemouth Belle services before withdrawal in July 1967 and subsequent preservation. Note: Car No.36 received three different sets of table lamps during its service life. The one on offer (type A) is from the second batch and dates from 1946.
GER 3 aspect sliding knob handlamp, stamped in the reducing cone GER S.J.BOX SLEAFORD and brass plated on the side LONDON AND NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY SLEAFORD 47 also plated with makers plate P&W MacLellan lamp manufacturers London & Glasgow. Complete with all glasses and GER stamped reservoir, burner and reflector. In good cleaned condition.
GN & LNWR Joint 3 aspect double pie crust handlamp brass plated Great Northern Railway STATHERN No1 and GN&LNW JOINT LINE. Stamped in the reducing cone GNR A7/07 GN 9054 and also stamped GN9054 in the side of the lamp. Complete with original fore and aft reservoir, burner, reflector and all glasses. In good cleaned condition.
