A 19th Century Chinese famille rose porcelain oil lamp, the reservoir with bands of foliate and floral decoration, the main body decorated with birds on blossoming branches by stream and fence on a turquoise ground decorated in pinks and greens with bats amongst scrolling foliage and script 30 cm high CONDITION REPORTS The top collar has been painted differently to the rest - see images for details under UV. Also there appears to be possibly a small repair, again visible under UV to the main body but nothing majorly visible to the naked eye. Large firing crack to the base of the oil reservoir as well as other firing faults and chips to the underside of the rim. Otherwise losses to the enamel work throughout, surface scratches etc. Wear and tear conducive with age and use - see images for more details

A 19th Century Chinese famille-rose ginger jar, the main body decorated with figures and children in a garden setting, raised on a circular foot (base of rear side drilled for electrical wiring, presently as a lamp), 19 cm high not including electrical fitting, together with a 20th Century wooden stand CONDITION REPORTS Whilst the piece appears basically sound, there is some wear and minor damage to the enamelling throughout - see images. The piece has been drilled to the lower side for wiring. The light fixing to the top is fixed and cannot be easily removed. See images for further detail.
