The top edge of the neck rim of the vase, and the top inner margin of the neck, are unglazed, as is the recessed foot rim, suggesting it might originally have borne a lid and was intended for another stand or base. Alternatively, the vase might have been made contemporaneously with the lamp mount, however the hole in the base of the vase has been roughly drilled] This lot is presented and sold with the lamp mounts disassembled for inspection.
