A bronze lamp filler with hemispherical bowl, two small lateral trefoil lugs to the flange rim, large flange handle to the rear, U-section filler channel; three small feet to the underside. Private collection, London, UK; formerly with Persepolis Gallery, Mayfair, London, UK; in the 1980s. 35 grams, 90mm (3 1/2"). [No Reserve] Fine condition.
A bronze undated archaistic oil lamp with broad discus, short nozzle, lozenge-section handle curved to the rear with grotesque mask finial; the discus with concentric rings and scene of two figures and an altar with patera. From an old Bristol, UK, collection; acquired before 1930; from the Earl of Kintore Collection, Keith Hall, Inverurie. 164 grams, 10cm (4"). [No Reserve] Very fine condition.
2nd-4th century AD. A mixed group of terracotta items comprising: two flat discoid lamps with lug handles to the rear; a discoid lamp with T-shaped handle; a biconical lamp with spout and strap handle; a slender vase. Property of an Essex, UK collector; acquired on the UK art market, 1980-1990. 505 grams total, 9.5-13cm (3 3/4 - 5"). [5, No Reserve] Fair condition, repaired.
