An American Art Deco brass table lamp, having integral domed shade, the plain column with concentric reeded upper and lower borders, raised on slightly domed circular base, with on/off switch, h.54cm. Four noticeable shallow dents to surface of shade.Some light scuffs / scratches to one of the dents on shade.Domes upper part of column is brass but has discoloured into a translucent shade.Approx. 25x15mm surface dent running vertical from top edge of column.Switch good.Underside of integral shade has been painted cream, with flaked losses and discoloured handling wear throughout.
A French Art Deco wrought iron floor lamp, modelled as a bird perched on a column upon spiral work circular base, with twin hanging orange globe shades with carved geometric design, h.188cm. Privately consigned 'over the counter'.The hangers and shades are later (probably relatively contemporary).We believe the column and bird to be late Art Deco period, 1930s/40s.Area of surface discolouration to front of column.
Zsolnay Pecs - a pottery oil lamp base, of bulbous upper and lower form, with pierced scroll handles, typically underglaze floral stylised and bright colour decorated, housed on integral cast metal circular masked base, h.34cm. We are unable to remove the base to see backstamp, but we are as certain as we can be that it is Zsolnay Pecs.Metal liner is fixed, tarnished and has minor splits to edges.Gilding heavily worn throughout.Reticulated areas with some firing cracks / blemishes.Slightly darkened discolouration to one side of upper area.Applied metal base is good.Finely crazed throughout.
