Loco is in play-worn condition with noticeable re-touching, many marks, smokebox door without the lamp holder (F-G). The tender is total repaint including the base & wheels, with slight creasing (G) as repaint.

After Raymond McGrath(1903-1977), an unusual Art Deco standard lamp, circa 1940, with copper finished segmented shade raised on a rattan covered stem and with drinks table above a conical base, after a design by Raymond McGrath for Villa Finella, Queens' Road, Cambridge145cm highThis is a variation on the original lamp which was sold by Phillips in April 2013 for £16,250. The lamp was part of an eccentric interior scheme by McGrath, commissioned around 1932 by the then owner of Villa Finella, Mansfield D Forbes.A couple of dents to the cover, some loss of copper finish and further pitting, blacking with overpainting, one securing rod missing from cover, general scuffs and wear commensurate with age.  From a property clearance and thus no known provenance.
