AN EXTREMELY FINE WUCAI ENAMELED PORCELAIN VASE, 17TH CENTURYChina, 17th century. The baluster body rising from a flat base to a rounded shoulder with a short neck, finely painted in bright enamels with evenly spaced auspicious symbols as well as lobed reserves enclosing flowers growing from leafy stems, all on variously diapered grounds, above a lappet border with pendent beads, the shoulder with a rhombic pattern and the neck with stiff leaves below a diapered pattern.Condition: Some wear, firing irregularities, part of the neck has been reattached, the base drilled for mounting as a lamp.Provenance: From an old family collection in Pressburg, Austrian Empire, Slovakia, and thence by descent to the present owner.Weight: 2,012 gDimensions: Height 33 cm
