A 1968/69 restored and polished Strand PATT 23N MK2 studio lamp fitted with barn doors, converted to use standard Edison bulbs. It was originally designed in Covent Garden, London at the Strand headquarters in the 1950's. This light was used on the set of Channel 4’s ‘Draw it’ game show, hosted by Mel Gledroyc. The light sits upon a vintage extendable stand raised on four casters.

This rare lamp sits on an even rarer 1955 Bolex Type 1 tripod - great pan / tilt head with adjustable levelling separate from other controls, plus an extremely well designed quick release head.
