A HANDSOME 19TH CENTURY CUT-GLASS OIL LAMP with prism-cut squat reservoir supported on a hexagonal baluster stem issuing from a petal-cut base, now electrified as a table lamp. 68cm high overallDrill hole in the brass mount of the reservoir. The reservoir needs re-sticking. A few tiny flea bites to the edges but generally in good order and very handsome.

EARLY 20TH CENTURY KOEHLER MINERS SAFETY LAMP, with pierced hood and double gauze, 26cm excl hook, and another similar (2)Provenance: private collection South Wales Valleys.Notes: The 1918 Koehler lamp was the first miner's lamp to be approved by the US Bureau of Mines. It was supposed to generate more light than other lamps, and produce clearer results when testing the mine air.Comments: worn and well used, some bars loose, used condition, working order not guaranteed, inspection advised.
