CHINESE PORCELAIN. A small Chinese porcelain box with three panels of decoration & one end panel decorated with three rows of script. The base with six character seal mark. The well fitting lid, pierced & set an agate handle. On pierced hardwood stand. Max. width 10cm. Full height 11.5cm.Please Note: There is a 4cm hairline crack towards one corner.
Four pieces of Chinese blue and white porcelain including, an 18th Century blue and white fluted sauce boat with bamboo covered metal handle, a 19th Century teapot and two dishes. CONDITION REPORT: Handle off and replaced by bamboo carved metal, rubbing to the rim and ffot rim flat but rough. Octagonal dish is in good condition apart from small flat chip to the rim. The dish with precious things, small chips to rim and hairline crack through base. Teapot lid dirty but okay apart from small chip to the spout .Octagonal dish 21.5cm.Round dish 20.5cm.
Straits porcelain bowl decorated with a phoenix 19.5cm a Chinese Daoguang famille rose cup and saucer, decorated with figures (restored) and a small carved ivory panel. CONDITION REPORT: The ivory piece is not Chinese, looking through it has been a lid, but it is broken in half 4cm x 3.5cm. Straits bowl is 197mm wide, height is 8cm, slight loss of gilding, probably early 20th Century some rubbing to enamel to interior some paint splashes. Teabowl and saucer, bowl 8.5 x 6.5cm and has been heavily restored to the bowl and the saucer, Saucer is 14.5cm wide.
A 19th century soapstone carving of Shou Lao, three carved wooden figures of Daruma and a 20th century Chinese relief decorated porcelain snuff bottle, (3) CONDITION REPORT: Soap stone has some some scrapes and bashes , particularly one larger to forhead and knee. Three figures, two missing tops to hats, two with hats reglued. Snuff bottle broken in half.
A late 19th century Chinese porcelain ginger jar of cylindrical form painted in underglaze blue with two opposing figural panels alternating with flower heads on scroll ground, with turned wooden cover, bearing Kangxi double ring mark to base, height 28cm. CONDITION REPORT: Appears to be in good condition apart from some minor surface wear and dirt also some firing imperfections visible to the inside.
An early 20th century Chinese porcelain ginger jar and cover painted in green enamels with dragons and phoenix amongst clouds, bearing Jiajing six character mark within double ring to the base, height with cover approx 27cm. CONDITION REPORT: Pitting and fritting to glaze throughout, rubbing and small losses to green decoration with manufacturing imperfections throughout, some pronounced scratches.
