CONDITION REPORT: Back right leg restored (broken off and reglued) and with a major chip in the upper part of this area, approx 1.2cm. Crude faceted finish to the inside of the hooves, also with some manufacturing imperfections and losses to the brown glazing, chip to the front left hoof.

A 19th century Chinese Famille Verte porcelain joss stick/incense holder modelled as a figure of a Mandarin with his robes overall painted with a phoenix with a small aperture to the top of his hat, height 9cm (af). CONDITION REPORT: The right foot has been broken off and reglued, some surface wear and rubbing to the glaze at the raised areas, area of fritting to the left elbow, some shallow losses to the tip of his robes in the lower part. Minor rubbing to the paint.
A pair of late19th/early 20th century Chinese porcelain pilgrim/moonflasks, each painted in underglaze blue with a figural scene in landscape on blossoming prunus ground, with moulded twin handles, height 26cm (af). CONDITION REPORT: One vase is badly at fault with major loss to the neck and one missing handle, the other with major loss to one handle. A bruise to the rim and with spreading hairline. General minor surface wear commensurate with age.

A group of various Chinese porcelain items comprising a pair of small crackle glazed sleeve vases, height 14cm a twin handled double gourd pilgrim flask with six character mark to the upper rim, height 26.5cm, a blue and white dragon decorated shallow bowl and a celadon glazed transfer decorated example, also a Japanese Seto ware ginger jar and cover (6). CONDITION REPORT: All items are modern so condition is as expected. No further images will be provided.
AMENDED CONDITION REPORT: A Chinese gilt metal and cinnabar circular box and cover, overall decorated with applied hand painted enamel blossoming prunus branches, diameter 8cm, with impressed Qianlong six character mark along the cover rim, bearing two stickers to the inside 'Imperial Oriental Art N.Y.C, 182' and 'Period of Emperor Chien Lung, A.D. 1506-1521'. CONDITION REPORT: Generally in good condition with traces of surface wear particularly visible to the gilt on the rims. The box appears to be made of porcelain with cinnabar coloured overpaint or a thin layer of lacquer.

A CHINESE BLUE AND WHITE BAXIAN INCENSE BURNER KANGXI 1662-1722 The cylindrical body painted with a continuous scene of the Eight Immortals celebrating Shoulao's birthday, all with their various attributes, Shoulao sits on a rock with an attendant and a deer, all between chevron borders and raised on three rectangular feet, a reticulated wood stand, 19.8cm. A CHINESE IMPERIAL PORCELAIN ALTAR VASE QIANLONG 1736-95 With an ovoid body and cylindrical knopped neck raised on a wide domed foot, finely enamelled in iron-red with lotus sprays above a band of stiff leaves, the neck with a key fret border, 22.2cm. Cf. An identical altar vase can be seen in the painting by Giuseppe Castiglione in The National Palace Museum, Taipei, illustrating the Emperor Qianlong beneath trees and beside a table with a number of other treasures; see Palastmuseum Peking Schätze aus der Verbotenen Stadt, Berlin, 1985, no.41, pl.24. A MASSIVE CHINESE FAMILLE ROSE DISH LATE QING DYNASTY / REPUBLIC PERIOD Painted on the interior with two intertwining prunus branches which extend from the reverse, one branch with white flowers with a greeny-yellow tinge, the other branch with flowers with a pink tinge, two large lingzhi sprays sprout from the base of one branch and are balanced by a flowering peony to the left, the reverse with an apocryphal six character Yongzheng mark, 52.8cm. Provenance: from the estate of Mr Klaus Henrich, purchased in the 1970s. Cf.
