A Chinese iron red ground porcelain bowl, bearing printed four character mark in red to base, enamelled in colours with auspicious objects on an iron red ground, 4 1/8in. (10cm.) diameter; together with a blue and white bowl, probably late 18th / early 19th century, painted with a lake and island scene with punts, 4¾in. (12cm.) diameter, rim repaired; a blue and white tea bowl and saucer with similar decoration, saucer rim chipped; and a small Canton famille rose jar and cover in the form of a garden seat, 2 7/8in. (7.3cm.) high, body cracked. (5)* Condition: - Iron red bowl: Good condition, with no damage or restoration. - Blue & white bowl: Large piece broken off rim and glued in place. A few glaze chips to rim and firing chip to foot. - Tea bowl & saucer: Tea bowl has 1in. hairline and some tiny glaze chips to rim. Saucer has small rim chip and associated hairline. - Famille rose: Large crack around whole of one side of body - possibly broken and glued. Flake missing from top of one end of crack. A few tiny rim chips. Cover good.
A matched pair of Chinese blue and white porcelain hexagonal canisters with lids, decorated with flying dragons chasing flaming pearls amidst flames and clouds, over a tumultuous sea, the canted shoulders with flowers and foliage, below upright circular necks with covers, one cover decorated with clouds and flames, the other with scholars in fenced gardens, both with four character mark to base, 13¾in. (35cm.) high, covers probably matched, one cover chipped, glaze chips to one rim. (2)

(16.5cm.) high; together with a Chinese porcelain cylindrical jar and cover, Guangxu iron red mark to base and of the period, painted in pastel tones with scholars in a garden, also with vertical black painted six character mark and red printed mark to side, with twin gilt bamboo and twisted wire swing handles, the domed cover similarly decorated, 8½in. (11.5cm.) diameter, both with Christies lot label to base. (4)* Provenance: The Nanking Cargo sale, Christies Amsterdam, 28 April - 2 May 1985. Lot 5039.** Condition: One saucer with tiny rim frit. Otherise very good.

A large and fine quality large 19th century cobalt blue ground Chinese famille rose-verte moulded porcelain fish bowl, the upper rim with three floral sprays, the rounded sides with floral & foliate decoration interspersed by three floral reserves, sitting on a formal border to the foot, the base unglazed, 13in. (33cm.) high, 15in. (38.2cm.) diameter.* Condition: Glaze flakes and scuff marks to one side of rounded main body (between two reserves), enamel decoration flaking in places , otherwise good with no chips or cracks. No restoration.

Condition report: Condition Report: Bowl has a 6.5cm hairline and a 1.5cm firing flaw. The plate has a faint 3cm hairline visible on the underside. The figures, one has part of the hair ornament missing and two fingers broken off, the other has four fingers broken off. Chip to spout of teapot.
