A Chinese porcelain vase, Qing, 20th century, decorated with figures at a garden entertainment, 39cm high, later fitted as a lamp (base drilled); together with a brass oil lamp base (fitted for electricity) and another table lamp base (3)Condition reportRe: Chinese Vase. The vase enamels remain in generally good condition. There are no visible chips, however there is an old crack in the glaze near the lower part of the neck. This crack splits in three directions. See the image. It may originate from the vases kiln firing. This crack is on the back of the vase and does not visually impact the main scene of musicians seated about a garden table. The lamp was converted to a table lamp relatively recently. Would suggest in the 1980-90s based on the fittings. There is a drill hole (see image for the cable). The metal top appears to be held on with a central nut that can be unscrewed and removed. I cannot examine the interior of the vase without disassembly. The rim appears to be intact with no apparent chips.Base is unmarked. 38.5cm high, 18.5 cm wide.
