(27.6cm.) diameter; together with an 18th/19th century blue and white twelve-sided dish, the central circular reserve painted with a deer and stork in a garden, within a broad petalled border with floral decoration and diaper rim, the base with artemesia leaf mark within double concentric circles, 10in. (24.4cm.) diameter. (2)* Condition: - Kangxi dish: Very good overall. Minor frits to footrim. Scratch to glaze in well. No other faults.- 12 sided dish: Several glaze chips and one small shallow chip to rim. No other faults.

Two Chinese porcelain blue and white dishes, 17th century, the larger with moulded fluted decoration, painted with a pheasant in a garden, within keywork and a broad border with floral decoration within ruyi lappet reserves and a diaper pattern outer border, the base painted with a flower mark, 10¾in. (27.3cm.) diameter; the smaller of slightly lobed form, with a phoenix and peonies within a spiral reserved border with monkeys on branches and flowers, painted flowerhead mark to base, 6¼in. (15.8cm.) diameter, both a/f. (2)* Condition: - Larger: Three large pieces have been off and have glued repair. Several small glaze chips to rim.- Small: Large piece has been off from rim and broken into three pieces, with glued repair. Large hairline to other side.

(19cm.) high, lacks cover.* Condition: No faults but lacks cover.

A Chinese porcelain Canton famille rose four piece bedroom set, 19th century, comprising a large wash bowl, a bottle vase or flask, a rectangular box and cover and a covered soap dish and stand, enamelled with shaped reserves with figures on terraces and birds amidst flowers, on a gilt ground with enamelled scrolling foliage and butterflies, the borders with bats in flight, the bowl 18¾in. (47.5cm.) diameter, the vase 16in. (40.75cm.) high. (4)* Condition: Some gilt wear to all pieces.- Vase with two tiny frits and some glaze flaking to rim.- Bowl with some wear to enamelling to well and large crack from rim, with small chip from near top of crack and star crack to lower part of vertical crack.- Box: Glaze chips to two corners of lid. - Soap dish: Small triangular piece has been off edge of cover and has been glued. Kiln dust to glaze to interior. Weat to enamelling to centre of stand. Chip and hairline crack to rim of dish.

A Chinese porcelain blue and white platter, late 18th century, with clipped corners, 14½in. (36.8cm.) long, rim chip; together with a pair of Japanese Imari porcelain plates, 9in. (22.8cm.) diameter. (3)* Condition: 1cm. chip and a few tiny glaze frits to rim. No other faults. The Imari plates have some gilt wear but no other damage.

(6)* Condition: - Pair: One with small hairline, the other with three small rim chips and two hairlines.- Others: Three with glued repairs to rim, the fourth with large chip to rim.

A Chinese blue and white porcelain baluster vase and cover from the Vung Tau cargo, the base painted with an artemesia leaf, the lappet reserves painted with peony jardinieres, divided by floral borders, above a petalled foot and ruyi collar to the shoulder, the upstanding neck with trefoil pendant decoration, the domed cover with lappet, dot and cross decoration, Christies lot label affixed to base, handpainted collection number to base and underside of cover, 7½in. (19cm.) high.* Provenance: Christies Amsterdam, April 1992, Lot 296.** Condition: Good condition. One tiny glaze frit to edge of base. Glaze has some light scratching and matting across the surface, presumably from cleaning post-salvage.

(16.5cm.) diameter, chip to cover.* Condition: Old chip to edge of cover. Some gilt wear and wear to flowerhead on one handle.

Two Chinese porcelain blue and white bowls, both with four character Kangxi marks but later, probably 19th century, the larger painted with a lake landscape with figures on a bridge and pagodas, 9¼in. (23.5cm.) diameter; the smaller painted with warriors on horseback outside a fortification, the interior with circular dragon reserve, 6 7/8in. (17.5cm.) diameter, both with rim chip. (2)* Condition: - Larger: Large, shallow chip inside rim with 2in associated hairline. Small glaze chip to rim.- Smaller: Chip and large hairline to rim.

A massive Chinese blue and white porcelain jar, in the Kangxi style, possibly 18th / 19th century, stoutly potted, of octagonal baluster form, painted with a pair of phoenixes in a dense garden with flowering plants, a pond and rocky outcrops, the shoulder with a deep ruyi, scrolling vine and spiral border, the foot with a stylised lappet border, 23in. (58.5cm.) high, large chip to foot. **Condition: Large chip to foot - 2¾ x 1 3/8in. Minor scuffing to glaze on corners of upper body. Interior dirty (has been used as a stick stand for decades). No other faults.

A Chinese porcelain blue and white dish, painted with five crabs amidst seaweed, below a Greek key border, on a pale celadon glaze, single character mark to base, 9½in. (24.1cm.) diameter.* Condition: Good condition with no faults.

A pair of Chinese porcelain polychrome ducks, 20th century, the ducks in green glaze with highlights in yellow, red and blue, indistinct marks to bases, 9¾in. (24.8cm.) long. (2)* Condition: In very good condition, no chips or cracks found.

A Chinese porcelain famille rose ginger jar, probably early 19th century, blue painted double concentric circles to base, of broad, ovoid form, finely painted with flowers, butterflies and auspicious objects in a garden setting, the shoulder with a scrolling floral and iron red diaperwork border, 7½in. (19cm.) high, lacks cover.* Condition: Lacks cover. Very good condition with no faults.

A Chinese kraak porcelain blue and white dish, six character Chenghua mark to base within double concentric circles but later, Wanli period (1573-1619), circular with barbed rim, painted with two figures on horseback emerging from behind a cliff face, beside a lake, the rim painted with lotus flowers, scrolling vines and auspicious objects, the underside with sixteen lotus plants, 11 1/8in. (28.25cm.) diameter, chip to rim.* Condition: Chip to underside of rim with small hairline from base of chip. Some glaze flaking around the rim.

Some shipwreck encrustation to inside of neck and body. Residue of encrustation to unglazed areas of base and cover underside. Glaze has some light scratching and matting to surface, probably due to post-salvage cleaning.  

Lot 1099

Two Chinese porcelain snuff bottles, one of flattened, ovoid form, in dark powder blue glaze, 6.8cm. high; the second of Meiping form, in dark brown, satin glaze, with enamelled diaper decoration and domed coral style glass stopper, 6.2cm. high. (2)* Condition: - Blue glazed: Lacks stopper. Some light scratching to glaze.- Meiping: Some wear to top of diaper decoration. Otherwise good.

Lot 1066

A pair of Chinese porcelain Imari decorated platters, probably Qianlong period (1736-1795), rounded rectangular form, decorated with flowering plants issuing from rockwork, within diaper borders with conforming decoration, 12 5/8in. (32cm.) long. (2)* Condition: Small chip to one end of rim on one dish, plus two glaze flakes to other end. The other dish with tiny chip to one end. No other faults.

Lot 1071

A set of five Chinese porcelain blue and white dishes, Kangxi period (1662-1722), painted with two female figures conversing on a fenced garden terrace, within a border of foliage and flowers, 9¼in. (23.5cm.) diameter, one dish with wax seal and cloth label for Duveen of Liverpool, another with remnant of seal, all with numbered paper label to base, '37'. (5)* Condition: Small rim chip to one dish. The other four dishes very good with no faults. A couple of minor glaze scratches and tiny glaze rubs. 

Lot 1068

A Chinese blue and white porcelain kendi, probably 18th century, the globular body rising from a short straight foot to a long, flared neck with everted rim, the shoulder with bulbous spout, decorated with ladies in fenced gardens beneath feathered foliage, the shoulder with honeycomb diaper decoration alternating with precious objects, the inner rim similarly decorated, the neck with floral pendant decoration, 9½in. (24cm.) high, shipwreck encrustation to one side and interior.* Condition: Firing crack to joint at top of spout and body. No other faults.

A pair of Chinese famille rose porcelain vase lamps, late 20th century, with twin stag's head handles and blue and white dragon keywork borders around the painted reserves with children and scholars in garden settings, on carved hardwood bases, 14¼in. (36.25cm.) high. (2)

Lot 1064

A Chinese porcelain blue and white small teapot, probably 19th century, of tapered cylindrical form with D-shaped handle, painted with scholars in a garden, between ruyi and lappet borders, 3½in. (8.9cm.) high, small spout chip.* Condition: Small chip to underside of tip of spout. Old sellotape residue to cover and sides. No other faults.  

Lot 1102

A Chinese porcelain famille rose figure of an Immortal, probably late 19th / early 20th century, polychrome enamelled and enriched with gilt, the bearded figure holding a ruyi sceptre and dressed in red dragon robes, impressed seal mark to base, 18¾in. (47.5cm.) high.* Condition: Gilt wear, two large glaze chips to hat and some glaze flaking. No other faults.  

Lot 1098

Three Chinese blue and white porcelain snuff bottles, probably 19th / early 20th century, one of slightly tapered ovoid form, with four character Yongzheng mark but later, painted in 'Hundred Boys' style; the second of tall, cylindrical form, with two character mark, painted with peasants in a mountain landscape; the third of short cylindrical form, with two character mark, painted with a fisherman; the largest 6.8cm. high. (3)* Condition: The first with minute frit to footrim. The second good with no faults (except cork stuck in neck). The third with small chip to rim. All lack stoppers.  

Lot 1109

A Chinese kraak porcelain dish, Wanli period (1573-1620), of deeply dished circular form with barbed rim, painted with a figure seated on rocks beside a stream, swirling clouds above, within a border painted with fruit, flowers and auspicious objects, 8in. (20.25cm.) diameter, small rim chip.* Condition: Small chip to rim and tiny chip nearby. Kiln dust to well. No other faults.  

Lot 1086

A Chinese porcelain powder blue and gilt vase, Kangxi style, probably 19th century, ovoid form, painted in gilt with peonies, other flowers and bats amidst vinework, within lappet and toothed borders and ruyi pendant collar, blue double concentric circles to base, 10in. (25.5cm.) high.* Condition: Some gilt wear throughout. Two blister flaws in glaze to centre of body - possibly flaws in the making which were retouched in gilt. No other faults.

A Chinese porcelain armorial part tea service, 18th century, comprising a globular teapot, a sparrow beak cream jug, a tea caddy, a slop bowl, a smaller bowl, a small saucer dish, four coffee cans, ten tea bowls and seven saucers, all painted with an armorial and flowers in iron red, black and gilt, the teapot 6in. (15.25cm.) high; together with an 18th century Chinese deep supper dish, crescent form, painted in iron red and gilt with a long life mark below a bat, amidst peony blooms and foliage, 7 5/8in. (19.3cm.) long; and a late 18th century Chinese export plate painted with a farmer and a pig in a landscape, 8¾in. (22.25cm.) diameter, some damage. (29)* Condition: All with some gilt wear.- Teapot: Large glaze chip to finial. Otherwise good.- Cream jug: Good condition with no faults.- Tea caddy: Large chip from rim.- Slop bowl: Piece off from rim and two hairlines.- Smaller bowl: Piece off from rim and badly cracked.- Saucer dish: Good cdn.- Coffee cans: Three with tiny chip/glaze flakes to rim. The fourth badly cracked and with two chips.- Tea bowls: Three with a couple of tiny rim chips. Four with hairline cracks/tiny chips. Three with rim chips.- Saucers: Three good. Two with single tiny chip. One with two hairlines. One with large rim chip.- Supper dish: Good cdn.- Export plate: Gilt decoration worn. Restoration to centre of plate.

Two Chinese Canton porcelain vases, probably late 19th / early 20th century, of globular form with long cylindrical neck, the body decorated with dragons chasing a flaming pearl amidst a floral and scenic landscape, the tallest, 7 1/8in. (18.1cm.) high. (2)* Condition: Some gilt rubbing and little enamel loss, mainly to upper neck, one with inner hairline crack.

Two Chinese Canton famille rose plates, early 19th century, one enamelled with an unusual scene of an imposing gilt casket and court attendants in an interior setting, the other painted with an interior scene with figures summoning a deity, within a border enamelled with birds and insects amidst foliage and flowers, each 9 7/8in. (25cm.) diameter. (2)* Condition: Both in very good condition, with very light gilt loss to rims etc, very little enamel loss, some firing imperfections to porcelain. 

Lot 1070

A Chinese blue and white porcelain brushpot, with four character Kangxi mark (1662-1722) and probably of the period, sleeve form with short, undercut foot, painted with warriors in a mountainous landscape, within Greek key and floral borders, 10in. (25.5cm.) high, damaged and repaired.* Condition: Top third of vase has been broken into several pieces and glue repaired to a good standard.  The rim has a large glaze chip and there are several burst glaze bubbles around the lower edge of the body.
