LONGLEAT: A COLLECTION OF LOUIS XV ORMOLU MOUNTS almost certainly originally fitted to Chinese porcelain vases, including a pair of foliate three-branch candle arms of a naturalistic form, with curling leaves and foliate sconces, 23cm high, together with a pair of Rococo bases, with pierced scrolling foliage and rocaille-work, 16cm, and the ormulu mounts for a ewer incorporating the spout, handle, and base. The handle, 21cm, and the base 11cm. (6). Provenance: Sold from the attics at Longleat in the 1980's.Â
