Ca. 206 BC-220 AD Chinese Han Dynasty, terracotta lady figure. Interesting ceramic figurine of a standing lady with a long red flowing gown, with billowing light colured trimmed sleeves and a dramatic, white trimmed flared skirt. The woman's face is intricately detailed with thin, arching eyebrows and small, pursed red lips. During the Han Dynasty the Chinese ceramic industry flourished and the production of ceramic and porcelain figurines became increasingly intricate. Figures of this type were particularly popular as status symbols depicting aspects of the upper echelons of Chinese political and social life including warriors, servants and ladies of high status. This piece has been precisely dated having undergone Thermo Luminescence analysis by Ralf Kotalla, an independent German Laboratory. The samples collected date the piece to the period reflected in its style, whilst also showing no modern trace elements. Its TL certificate with full report will also accompany this lot. An elaborately crafted male attendant figure dressed a dark blue tunit with red side panels, light blue cuffs and a blue sash as well as black boots and a light coloured conical hat with a brim. The attendant holds an object, possibley a bottle or a scroll. During the Ming Dynasty the Chinese art industry flourished and the production of ceramic and porcelain pieces increased exponentially. Figures of this type were particularly popular during the Ming artistic revival which placed great importance on depicting aspects of Chinese political and social life including warriors, servants and ladies of high status. Ca. 1368-1644 AD. Chinese Ming Dynasty. An elaborately crafted female attendant figure dressed in a bright green dress with yellow cuffs, and a deep blue over-dress, and red shoes. The attendant also sports an elaborate coiffure and carries a teapot in one hand and what appears to be a mat over her right shoulder. During the Ming Dynasty the Chinese art industry flourished and the production of ceramic and porcelain pieces increased exponentially. Figures of this type were particularly popular during the Ming artistic revival which placed great importance on depicting aspects of Chinese political and social life including warriors, servants and ladies of high status. An elaborately crafted warrior attendant figure dressed in intricate light and dark blue armour, with a tall conical helmet with a light coloured tassel, possibly meant to imitate horse hair. The warrior holds a sword and is posed as if he is about to draw it from its scabbard. During the Ming Dynasty the Chinese art industry flourished and the production of ceramic and porcelain pieces increased exponentially. Some typical very minor surface wear. Free from chips cracks and repair some staining to the inside of the bowl.

A Pair of Chinese Porcelain Ovoid Jars, in Kangxi style, painted in famille verte enamels with birds amongst foliage and rockwork, 16.5cm high, with hardwood stands; and A Similar Wucai Porcelain Cylindrical Jar, painted in green, red and ochre with mythical beasts amongst scrolling lotus, 21cm high, with hardwood cover (3). The pair of vases both have unglazed rims probably denoting that they've been reduced in height. One vase, otherwise in good condition. The other one heavily damaged and re glued with sections, not attached but retaine. The cylindrical vase free from any damage or repair, but with ename ware throughout.

A Chinese Wucai Porcelain Jar and Matched Cover, in 17th century style, painted with bands of scrolling foliage within panel borders, 21cm wide, with hardwood stand. The main body of the jar has been broken into many pieces and restuck with some sections of filling. The cover has a metal pin repair to the finial and a metal mounted rim probably covering some small chips. The wooden base has damage to two legs and a section of the apron.

Some fritting and minor rim chips to all. No restoration. One of the geese plates with hair cracking inside the well.

A Chinese Imari Porcelain Mug, circa 1730, of cylindrical form with strap handle, typically painted with stylised foliage, 14cm high; and A Similar Mug, Qianlong, with entwined strap handle, painted in famille rose enamels with a flowerspray and scattered sprigs beneath a gilt scale border, 14cm high (2). Both free from chips cracks and restoration. The Imari tankard with fritzing to the handle.

A Chinese Porcelain Coffee Pot and Cover, Qianlong, after a European metalware original, of cylindrical form with scroll moulded side handle and spout, painted in iron red, puce and gilt with flowersprays and scattered sprigs within a green and purple meander border, 19cm high; A Matching Teapot and Cover, 15.5cm high; and A Similar Cylindrical Mug, painted in famille rose enamels with figures in a garden within underglaze blue and gilt borders, 12.5cm high (3). The coffee pot with a small chip to the rim of the cover and with slight fretting to the spout the teapot has a chip to the rim of the main body. The tankard has a small rim chip, no restoration at all to any of the three pieces.

A Chinese Porcelain Wine Pot and Cover, Kangxi, of ogee rectangular form with overhead handle, painted in underglaze blue with figures in a river landscape, 17cm high; A Similar Double-Walled Reticulated Bottle Vase, painted in underglaze blue with stylised foliage, 15cm high; and A Hexafoil Teapot Stand, Qianlong, painted in underglaze blue with a river landscape, 12.5cm diameter (3). The cover to the wine pit is original. Much of the inner flange of the cover is lacking, and there's a flat chip to the underside of the rim. The main body of the wine pot has some fritting to the glaze, a hair crack across the base, but it's free from any other damage and restoration. The reticulated vase has a long flat chip near the top rim. Some glaze fritting and loss to one of the pierced panels. The teapot stand is in good condition.

Some small chips and slight fritting to the rim, no cracks, free from restoration. All animals bright and in good condition.
