Two early 19th century English porcelain cream jugs - both painted with blue and white decoration, one with moulded fluting and scalloped rim, painted with branches of prunus and peony flowers, 14.7cm. long; the other smaller, with moulded decoration and painted with figures in a garden and flowers, 11.5cm. long; together with two 18th/19th century Chinese shipwreck dishes, probably Tek Sing, the larger 18cm. diameter, crack to rim, the other on a short pedestal foot, with heavy encrustation to surface, 9.3cm. diameter; plus a modern Chinese covered jar. An Oriental ceramic group of five: 1. an 18th century Chinese circular porcelain tea bowl, the exterior decorated in underglaze blue with scrolling lotus (9.5 cm in diameter). 2. a light-green glazed Chinese pottery vase cover modelled as an open-winged bird astride a dome with four lower pierced lugs, qingbai glaze, China, Song Dynasty (969-1279) (14.5 cm high). 3. a 19th century green glazed miniature vase decorated with leaves in low relief above a Ming-style lappet border. 4. a double gourd-shaped vase or snuff bottle. 5. a Chinese Canton pot (5) * Condition: - Tea bowl: 4cm crack from rim and another L-shaped hairline. Small rim chip. - Bird vase cover: Several small chips from lower edge of rim. No other faults. - Miniature vase: Chip and crack to rim. Small chip to foot. - Double gourd miniature vase: Crack around the upper and lower section of vase. Minor enamel wear.
A 19TH CENTURY CHINESE TURQUOISE GROUND FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN DRAGON VASE, the body enamel painted with dragons and the flaming pearl of wisdom amongst stylised clouds, the copper red dragon and pearl heightened with gilt highlights, the rim and base with yellow ground foliate bands, 29cm high.
