A small group of Chinese famille rose porcelain comprising a pair of baluster vases, both with pairs of Chilong dragons chasing the Sacred Pearl in relief to necks, height 19cm, small teapot and two lidded jars, one of miniature size (several items af) (5). Additional InformationOne of the vases cracked extensively with old staple repairs, further hairline to neck, the lower section of the teapot lid with small crack, the lid of larger jar cracked in numerous places and crudely repaired with hole to middle, the jar body also with hairlines and small chip to rim, general rubbing to gilt and enamel detail, wear and tear throughout, manufacturing imperfections, etc. All sold as seen and as such there shall be no returns on these items.
CANTAGALLI; a pair of 19th century majolica plates, each decorated with cherub in landscape and both bearing printed marks to reverse, diameter 21.8cm, a tin lustre glazed charger featuring Athena within stylised border to rim, diameter 38cm, a majolica snail and inkwell, also an 18th century Chinese porcelain floral decorated plate (all except inkwell af) (6).Additional InformationBoth plates cracked through the middle, the charger cracked throughout with old tape repairs, snail has lost both of the eyes, the plate with several hairlines and chips to rim, further wear and tear, chipping to glaze, pitting and fritting etc throughout, please refer to illustrations and request additional if necessary.

A rare Liverpool delftware armorial plate c.1750-60, decorated probably in Staffordshire in raised polychrome enamels with the arms of Cardonnel impaling Hilton, the cavetto with Chinese auspicious objects between a green trellis border, the rim with sprays of flowering Oriental plants, some wear, 22.3cm. Provenance: acquired from Allbrook, c.1971. Cf. David Sanctuary Howard, Chinese Armorial Porcelain, p.237, no. E4 for the Chinese famille verte original. It is presumed that this plate was made as a replacement or addition to the original service. Two other examples are known; one formerly in the F H Garner Collection and now in the Victoria and Albert Museum; the other sold at Sotheby's in 2006 as part of the Harriet Carlton Goldweitz Collection (lot 91).
