A Blue and White Porcelain Ewer, Late Ming dynasty, , of Islamic metal form, and with later Turkish metal mounts, the body of pear shape supported by a circular splayed foot, with bulbous neck and serpentine spout and handle, the sides decorated in cobalt with two large floral ogival medallions flanked with scrolling tendrils, the neck and underbelly decorated with geometrical patterns, the spout with cloud-like motifs, the underside of the lid marked with Chinese Export pseudo English hallmarks, with incised maker??s mark IR, minor surface scratches and dirt incrustation, restoration to spout and foot, small chips to mouth, minor dents and patination to mounts which possibly cover a break, as viewed H:36.5cm
