Meissen Pagode "Chinesin mit Papagei"Rechteckiger, vierpassig geschweifter Sockel mit abgeflachten Ecken. Auf einem rosafarbenen Kissen mit goldenen Quasten sitzende Chinesin mit gekreuzten Beinen, den Kopf zur Seite wendend und den Papagei auf ihrer linken Hand betrachtend. In der rechten Hand hält sie eine Frucht. In langem, eisenrotem Gewand, gemustert mit asiatischen Blüten. Das dunkle Haar ist von einem schwarz-goldenem Spitzhut bedeckt. Entw. Johann Friedrich Eberlein, um 1735. Rest.; Schwertermarke. H. 17 cm. Diese Plastik diente als Räuchergefäß. Zum Zweck des Rauchabzugs sind Ohren, Mund und Nase geöffnet. Ein Paar, Chinesin und das männliche Gegenstück, befindet sich im Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York (Inv.-Nr. 1982.60.321, 322) und im British Museum in London (1948,1203.64).Vgl.
