Production faults to both body and cover but no large cracks or chips visible.Blue vase: rim ground down as though missing a cover. Production faults including pitting and pock marks in glaze. Crazing to surface, most notable around base.

(12cm.) high.* Condition: Two small chips and glaze wear around base rim. Tiny glaze flaw to rim. Extensive burst air bubbles to glaze to interior.
Two Chinese porcelain kraak blue and white dishes from the Hatcher Cargo, mid 17th century, Wanli period, deeply dished with barbed rim, decorated with a bird on a rocky outcrop beneath flowering plants and stylised clouds, one also with two flying insects, one within an incuse octagonal reserve, the other a barbed reserve, both with diaper borders, the uprising rim with radiating lappet panels enclosing flowering plants, fungi and peaches and smaller panels with Buddhistic emblem, 12in. (30.5cm) diameter, both with red Christies sale label to base. (2)* Provenance: The Hatcher Collection, Christies Amsterdam, 12-13th June 1984.** Condition: Both with kiln residue to base. Both in good condition, with no cracks or chips. One has overall matting and opaque appearance to glaze, possibly through cleaning. The underside of this dish also has two large glaze flake flaws (from the making) just above the footrim, and two glaze drips.
Three Chinese blue and white porcelain Batavian bowls from The Nanking Cargo, Qianlong period, c.1750, painted with peonies and chrysanthemum sprays in underglaze blue, beneath a diaper border to the rim, the exterior in cafe au lait glaze, 7¼in. (18.5cm.) diameter, all with Christies lot label to base. (3)* Provenance: The Nanking Cargo sale, Christies Amsterdam, 28 April - 2 May 1985. Lot 2515.** Condition: One with kiln dust to interior well and tiny glaze chip to foot. The others good with no chips or cracks. All three have matting to the exterior glaze, possibly due to the immersion in seawater.
An 18th century Chinese blue and white porcelain bowl, Yongzheng mark and of the period (1723-35), twelve lobed form with everted, barbed rim, interior rim with trailing ribboned border with trefoil knotted pendants, central interior with a Chinese elder reading a scroll with double concentric circles, the exterior with robed noblewomen in garden settings, on raised circular foot, six character mark to base within double concentric circles, 2¾in. (7cm.) high, 5in. (12.75cm.) diameter.* Condition: Glaze imperfection to rim - 8mm. to top of rim unglazed. Burst air bubble to blue glaze shows as a 2 x 1mm. white spot to left of one figure. No chips, cracks or other damage. No restoration. In very good condition.
A Chinese porcelain republic period vase, squared Gu form, rim with Greek key and scrolling borders, waisted neck with cloud form reserves bearing mountain scapes to front and reverse with scroll and foliate decoration on a lilac ground, block form central section having figural panels to front and reverse the sides with blossoming branches, concaved sides to base with spread winged phoenix to both sides on a green geometric ground, 12in. (30.5cm.) high.
A fine pair of Chinese porcelain famille rose bowls, Guangxu period (1875-1908), with painted iron red bat and peach or pomegranate mark to base, of shallow circular form with very slightly everted, slightly wavy rim with gilt line, on a short circular foot, the exteriors finely decorated in enamels with auspicious objects, the interior centred by a pair of peaches and a bat amidst foliage, mirroring the mark to base, 5 7/8in. (13cm.) diameter, 2in. (5.1cm.) high. (2)* Condition: This pair of bowls is in remarkably good condition, there being no sign of any damage or restoration whatsoever to either bowl. However there is a minute mark to the rim of one bowl which under magnification shows that it is glazed and so must have been a tiny flaw at the time of manufacture.

One good with just a couple of tiny glaze frits to rim. One with three small chips below rim. The third with 15 x 4mm. rim chip and small glaze chip nearby.
A Chinese porcelain blue and white bottle vase from the Hatcher Cargo, Wanli period, decorated in underglaze blue, the elongated and flared neck the collar with ruyi motif border above six segmented panels the upper with four vertical dot design, a centralised band of chained ruyi heads above wider panels of geometric hooked black lines with blue infill pattern, the bulbous body having six segmented sections decorated with alternating vertical head down horses flying through scrolls above waves, on raised foot with double concentric bands, 10¾in. (27.3cm.) high, Christies sale label to base. ** Provenance: The Hatcher Collection, Christies Amsterdam, 12-13th June 1984. In total only five pear-shaped bottle-vases, decorated with flying horses above waves, were sold, four in 1984 and one the following year in Amsterdam.** Condition: Good condition, with no damage or restoration. Glaze flaw just above foot, from the making.
A 19th century Chinese porcelain teapot, cylindrical form, the ribbed body decorated with elaborate river scene showing fishing vessels, pagodas, pine trees within a mountainous backdrop in polychrome enamels and gilt decoration, steeply scrolled textured mottled handle and spout, 6½in. (16.5cm.) high, lacks cover.* Condition: Dark spot in glaze just above foot - from the making. Very shallow chip to rim - approx. 10 x 0.5mm. Miniscule glaze frit to top of spout tip. Lacks cover.
A fine pair of Chinese porcelain republic period vases, flared rims to waisted necks, over ovoid bodies with layered black wave, ruyi head and pendant borders to underside of rims, shoulders and bases, finely painted polychrome decoration of female figures in leisurely pursuits - painting, reading and playing board games - under the shade of gnarled trunk pine tree, significant character marks to bodies and seal marks to bases, 19in. (48.3cm.) high. (2)* Condition: In fine condition, with no damage or restoration to either vase.
A Chinese porcelain famille rose jar and cover, 19th century, of ovoid form, with trellis border to upper area bearing four reserves each containing two blooms, the body with enamelled decoration of peonies in a fang ding form planter to front, the reverse with branches of prunus within an ovoid twin handled dragon decorated vase, separated by two panels of vertical character marks, circular cover with conforming decoration and pointed ovoid finial, 12¾in. (32.5cm.) high.

(35.5cm.) high.* Provenance: The Hatcher Collection, Christies Amsterdam, 12-13th June 1984.** Condition: Matt finish to glaze throughout - small clear patch just above foot, showing that original glaze finish is preserved beneath. A few light stains and small encrustation spots to lower body. Firing chip from the making to inside of footrim.
An extremely large Chinese porcelain famille verte censer, 19th century, with twin dragon handles, ruyi fungi and scroll decorated tripod feet and domed cover with Kylin finial, decorated in enamels with a lake and mountain landscape, above a lotus leaf border and below a floral and foliate band to the waisted neck, the cover with similar border below foliage and blooms, enamelled seal mark to base, 22in. (56cm.) high, stapled repairs.

A near pair of Chinese blue and white porcelain beaker vases from the Hatcher Cargo, mid 17th century, moulded with slightly flaring rim, one decorated with sprays of peonies and insects, the other with stiff leaves, both above cloud scrolls and a band of pointed leaves, 8½in. (21.5cm.) high, both with Christies sale labels to base. (2)* Provenance: The Hatcher Collection, Christies Amsterdam, 12-13th June 1984.** Condition: The first in good condition, but with some pale brown stains to exterior glaze. The other with band of iron red and dark grey staining to exterior, full vertical of vase approx. 1½in. wide. Two small patches of barnacle encrustation to exterior and tiny frit to edge of base.

(35.7cm.) high.* Condition: Three 10mm glaze chips to rim. Star crack to underside. No other damage or restoration noted.

A matched set of six Chinese enamelled porcelain bowls, early to mid 20th century, bearing printed iron red four character Qianlong marks, decorated with honeysuckle flowers, Shou symbols and overall scrolling foliage on a cobalt blue ground, 4 3/8in. (11.1cm.) diameter; together with a matched pair of 18th century Chinese export Imari decorated saucers. (8)* Condition: - Bowls: Two in good condition, with no damage. Two with single hairline to rim. One with small rim chip and hairline. The last with large rim chip and two hairlines to rim. - Saucers: One in good condition, with just one tiny rim frit. The other with star crack to base and a few small rim frits.

(3)* Provenance: The Hatcher Collection, Christies Amsterdam, 12-13th June 1984.** Condition: One with two small patches of pale brown staining to glaze on exterior. On one the glaze matted and slightly opaque. The taller vase with pale brown cloudy staining to exterior glaze throughout.
