A near pair of Chinese porcelain beaker vases imitating cloisonné, Qianlong seal mark, but late 19th/early 20th century, of small size, each decorated around the central knop with raised coiled dragons picked out in gilding between stiff leaves against a lattice or leiwen moulded ground coloured in blues, purples and turquoise, the interiors gilt, ( one a.f), impressed Qianlong seal marks, 13.5cm.high, carved and pierced wood stands. A group of Chinese blue and white porcelain, late 19th/20th century, comprising; a crocus vase painted with two dragons amongst flowers, 26cm.high; a bulbous vase painted with figures, 22cm. high, adapted as a lamp; a pair of hexagonal jars and covers painted with landscapes, 16cm.high; and a small baluster vase and matched cover painted with birds on rocks, 20cm. high, (a.f).
Two similar gilt brass and Chinese porcelain ceiling lights, each with a lattice frame to a famille rose decorated base and with three lights, 38cm diameter. (2) Provenance: The Property of a Collector. These ceiling lights were from the London home of the late Lady Baillie of Leeds Castle. The house was decorated by Arman-Albert Rateau and later Stéphane Boudin of Maison Jansen.
Chinese porcelain famille rose globular tea pot decorated with reserved panels of figures overlooking a lake. Unmarked. Together with another Chinese Canton porcelain globular tea pot decorated with figure groups and buildings. CONDITION REPORT: The first tea pot has a tiny restored chip to the cover and a chip to the spout. Some wear to painted decoration in places. The second tea pot in this lot has a significant hair crack and chip through the cover, and is well worn to the gilding in places, also with chips to the foot rim.
Chinese porcelain flower head shaped fluted bowl overall underglaze decorated with trailing foliate designs around a central foliate medallion. Four underglaze blue character marks to base. CONDITION REPORT: Significant chip to foot rim and another chip. Tiny frits to rim glaze but no other serious damage or noted restoration.
Pair of Chinese porcelain underglaze blue decorated double gourd shaped vases overall with landscape and figure decoration. Unmarked. (2) CONDITION REPORT: One vase has been heavily and significantly restored to the main body and also has a bad firing crack through the base. The other vase has also been badly broken to be in two pieces and has been restored, also having bad crack through its base.
Chinese porcelain underglaze blue decorated sparrow beak baluster jug and cover, overall decorated with pagodas and other buildings in a landscape. Unmarked. Together with a small Chinese porcelain baluster shaped side handle wine jug and cover with under glazed blue floral decoration, unmarked. And a small Chinese blue and white faceted baluster shaped tea pot and cover decorated with figures and foliage, with flower heads around the domed top. (3) CONDITION REPORT: The sparrow beak jug has chip to the rim of the top but otherwise displays no obvious damage or restoration. The side handled jug again has evident chips to the inner edge of the cover, tiny chip to the neck of the body, no other damage or restoration noted. The small tea pot is badly damaged with significant losses around the rim of the tea pot, chip to spout, some discolouring and minor wear.
Chinese porcelain underglaze blue decorated conical footed bowl having stylized border to the interior around a central flower spray and externally decorated with dragon dogs and flower sprays. Concentric circle and 6 character mark to base. CONDITION REPORT: External chip to the rim with another similar smaller. Minor wear and fritting. No obvious restoration or further damage. Surface wear to the interior generally.
Chinese porcelain white ground bowl with reserved interior decoration of a rope twist band and tiny foliate motif to the centre. Externally painted with figure on bridge within mountain landscape in two vignettes. Unmarked. CONDITION REPORT: Showing no obvious damage or restoration. Minor wear and tiny rim frits around the base particularly. Evident blemishes in glaze overall.
Three Chinese porcelain tea pots to include globular Canton type tea pot with cover overall with painted decoration depicting figures in interiors, the domed cover with trees in landscape. Another baluster tea pot with wire work handles overall painted with green four toed dragon chasing flaming pearls within clouds, having inset dragon decorated cover and square seal mark to base. And another Chinese porcelain tea pot of baluster form with domed cover painted with reserved panels of chickens amongst foliage on a dark ground. Unmarked. (3) *** CONDITION REPORT: The canton tea pot has overall general wear to gilding and a noted hair crack vertically from the rim down through the body. Firing cracks to base. Minor frits and chips. The small dragon decorated tea pot has restoration to a chip to the rim but otherwise no obvious damage. The baluster shaped dark tea pot has a cane bound metal handle which may be a replacement. Otherwise no obvious damage or restoration.
Chinese porcelain bullet shaped teapot with enamelled and gilded figural decoration, together with a similar Chinese porcelain baluster shaped, sparrow beak jug. (2) CONDITION REPORT: Teapot - Wear to gilding, chip to spout, chip to base rim and top of rim. Fritting in places. Jug - chips to spout and light wear overall.
