PAIR OF CERAMIC BALUSTER VASES AND COVERS Berlin, early 19th century Circular section with rounded shoulders, cylindrical neck surmountend by a domed cover with a large finial shaped as a rooster, the whole external surface painted in polychromy and gold on a red ground with chinese figures in the landscape and flowered branches, a Kangxi-style mark consisting in a lozenge inside concentric circles to the centre of the base of both. A POST WAR CHINESE PORCELAIN BOTTLE SHAPE VASE, well painted in enamels with four Mei-jen sat before a bamboo fence with a tree issuing from rockwork, opposing three horizontal rows of characters in black with two red seals, ruyi lappets in black beneath the rim of the cylindrical neck, bearing Qianlong four character seal reign mark in iron red, 11 1/2" (29cm) high (restored chip to the rim)
