Collection of Chinese armorial porcelain relating to the Aylmer/Elmore Family, each piece bearing an impaled lozenge escutcheon, the dexter side with the Arms of the Aylmer/Elmore family, the sinister side with an unknown Arms presumably those of a widow of a member of the aforementioned family, this Arms described as Gules on a chevron engrailed, between three garbs Or, five Ermine spots, comprising: tankard 16cm high, a pair of bowls 19.5cm diameter, another bowl 16.5cm diameter and a cup and saucer Condition: Smallest bowl has four vertical hairline cracks, each running about 6cm in height, one other bowl with a vertical hairline crack descending 6cm, tea cup missing handle, all pieces with rubbing to the gilding - **General condition consistent with age
A turquoise and terracotta glazed Chinese porcelain bowl of rectangular form, decorated in gilt with foliate scrolls, bearing painted character marks to the base, length 16cm. CONDITION REPORT Small firing flaw to inside, very small crackling to glaze of interior and minor staining, gilt to rim and exterior pattern intact, gilt to base rim rubbed commensurate with age and use. An early 19th century Chinese small archaic square baluster bud vase on carved hardwood plinth. Ground in lime green glaze and with moulded and applied decoration depicting four panels containing prunus blossom, bamboo shoots, chrysanthemums and irises. Mark for Wang Bingrong, 13cm including the stand. Condition Report. To be used as a guide only. Free from cracks and repair to the porcelain. Very minor loss to the applied work on the irises. Stand broken and re glued.
