A Pair of Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Bowls, Qianlong (1736-1795), of flared circular form, each externally decorated only with five leaf and fruit roundels punctuated by pomegranate motifs, a repeat band of ruyi heads to the basal rim, each with seal mark of Qianlong, 15.4cm diameter, each pasted internally with old paper label inscribed John Hext in ink Together with old pen and ink written label with inscription Tell Sir John the reading of that mark on his two bowls is "Made in the Chienlung period of the great Xing Dynasty. This fixes their date as being between 1736 and 1795".
