A GOOD PAIR OF 19TH CENTURY CHINESE CANTON FAMILLE ROSE PORCELAIN VASES, the body of the vases decorated with panels of figures interior with smaller panels of birds amongst native flora, further decorated upon a white ground with butterflies, bats, foliage and precious objects, with moulded twin lion dog handles and moulded chilong to the neck, 44.5cm high x 23cm wide.
A 19th Century continental porcelain potpourri vase in the Meissen manner the main body of gourd form relief decorated with flowers and fruit flanked by scroll work acanthus handles and figures of cherubs around the base, bears blue under glazed mark of cross batons and letter "J" and handwritten paper labels relating to "Fulder/Johan Valentin Schaum" and an early 20th Century Chinese porcelain snuff bottle with dragon decoration CONDITION REPORTS Several areas of damage to the floral encrustations throughout. The lid has been heavily damaged and old repairs restored with staples. Side foliate handles with damage to extremeties. Main body sound with exception of wear to the gilding of the top, a couple of small firing cracks above handles and loss to the floral encrustations and various wear to the gilding around the base - see images for further detail. The floral spray handles have the ends missing although one of the ends is still present. General wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos fo rmore details.
