CUFFLINKS, STUDS, AN EBONY RING STAND, A BASE OF A CHINESE CLOISONNE BOX TOGETHER WITH A LIMOGES ENAMEL ROUNDEL PAINTED WITH THE HEAD OF A CLASSICAL LADY. Dia. 9.5cms.
Pair of Chinese double gourd shaped blue and white baluster vases, overall decorated with prunus blossom on cracked ice ground, four painted character marks to base, 19cm high approx. Together with another similar archaic design baluster shaped vase, blue and white decorated with dragons chasing flaming pearls on cracked ice ground, four painted character marks to base, 17cm high approx and a large Chinese porcelain baluster ginger jar, lacking its cover, continuously decorated with foliage and birds, unmarked. (4) (B.P. 21% + VAT) All appearing in good original condition, archaic design vase, appears to originally have had a cover, as does the large ginger jar.
Chinese porcelain straight sided vase or brush pot under glazed blue continuously decorated with figures in landscape,and a modern Chinese boat shaped dish gilt decorated with butterflies and flowers externally and with character marks internally and to the base and a Chinese porcelain baluster shaped yellow ground vase with splash decoration and seal mark to base. (3) (B.P. 21% + VAT) No damage noted, the yellow ground vase does seem to have losses in places to its glaze.

Together with a similar small Chinese sang de bouf porcelain square shouldered baluster vase, 10.5cm high approx. (2) (B.P. 21% + VAT) The vase appearing good, the bowl has some minor wear and blemishes.
Good quality Chinese porcelain everted cup or vase, externally decorated with enamelled foliate designs and symbols and having six character under glazed blue mark to base. 8cm high approx. Together with three small Chinese porcelain sake cups, hand painted externally with landscapes with figures and buildings. (4) (B.P. 21% + VAT) All items have no obvious damage one small cup has inner rim chip or glaze loss noted.
A group of assorted Chinese porcelain items to include; a group of blue ducks of various sizes, a baluster shaped green ground vase and cover and also a pair of red ground ginger jars and covers with dragon panels. (8)(B.P. 21% + VAT) The larger duck has damage to its beak, another has a repair to its beak.

Including three porcelain examples blue and white and famille rose, three agate bottles, jadeite and one glass bottle painted inside out with grasshoppers. Largest 8.75cm. Good condition. White coloured hardstone bottle with a small chip to the top rim. Most stoppers are married.

Bahr Collection, with small circular handwritten sticker affixed to the foot of the manuscript label: BAHR L 47.112. Abel William Bahr (1877-1959), collector of Chinese art and antiquities, and Secretary of the North China branch of the Royal Asiatic Society. A.W. Bahr is the author of Old Chinese Porcelain and Works of Art in China, being descriptions and illustrations of articles selected from an exhibition held in Shanghai, November 1908, published in 1911. A survey of Chinese paintings in the Bahr Collection by Osvald Siren was published by the Chiswick Press in 1938. Lang Shih-Ning was the adopted Chinese name for the Italian Jesuit missionary Giuseppe Castiglione, who served as an artist at the Imperial Court of Kangxi, Yongzheng and Qianlong. His work represents a fusion of Western and Chinese traditions.
