A Chinese bowl decorated with fish and seaweed and bearing four character mark to base, together with a further Chinese porcelain bowl decorated with fish and bearing six character mark to base CONDITION REPORTS The bowl with the four character mark has general wear and scuffs plus a crack and large area of firing faults to the rim with decoration missing in this area. Bowl is quite misshapen and has a heavy, slightly squashed appearance and also has a hairline crack and some scratching. The bowl with six character mark has a large hairline crack plus general wear.

Rare 18th C. Chinese Armorial Lidded Sauce Tureen with pig’s head handles Decorated with floral sprays and a dotted purple ribbon band. Both lid and base each bearing two armorials, with the motto Prorege et Populo (Lord Lieutenant and the people). Howard’s Armoral Porcelain identifies this armorial as being Basset quartly impaling Coxe quarterly, Chíen Lung (Qianlong) c. 1780. Condition - kiln adhesionsand firing spots. Knop on lid restored. H. 11cm. L. 19.5cm.
