They are women in the mid of some textile craftwork, engaging in pairs or groups of three. The outside of the plate is painted with flowers and grasses, six Chinese characters at the bottom indicate the year.

Around them we see a Chinese lion, a little winged creature emanating from a round object unpacked from a cloth, a bonsai and red bats are hovering in the air. The appearance of the warrior and the bats might indicate that this is a depiction of the ghost and demon warrior Zhong Kui. He is usually depicted with black beard and a sword like here. The neck of the vase is decorated with floral pattern and a rocky landscape with bamboo plants.
