Ivar Mackay: a porcelain green glazed double petal edged bowl, signed to base, 25.5cms; (10in.) diameter. NB Ivar Mackay has exhibited widely throughout the UK and Internationally, including Gateshead Central Library 2000, Oriental Museum Durham 2003; Yufuku Gallery, Tokyo, Japan 2005; and Scottish Gallery, Dundas Street, Edinburgh 2012. He was strongly influenced by early Chinese potters of the Song Dynasty for their pure forms and painterly approach to glazes.

CHINESE VASE. A Chinese blue & white porcelain vase, decorated with exotic birds. Base with four character mark. Height 30cm. CONDITION REPORTS: This is in generally good, original condition. There are no chips, cracks or apparent restorations. The only comment I would make is that there is a noticeable join-line, just beneath the shoulder area of the vase, suggesting that it has been made in two pieces!! (This may be visible on-line).
