Anticipated pitting.

An early 19th century Chinese porcelain inverted baluster vase, well painted in underglaze blue with a panoramic landscape of junks, further moored ships and fishing boats on a river, the shore with a monumental bridge and fortified wall flying an inscribed banner, temples and pagodas, figures holding parasols, peasant carrying yoke, bold rocky outcrops and shoreline with blossoming prunus and willow trees, the shoulder with batwing scrolls, foliate bosses and alternating stiff leaves, the base with similar lobed reserves, 32cm high, four-character mark to base Condition Report: The vase well-potted with translucency. Highly competent and professional restoration to one side, including neck, shoulder going half-way down one face of the vase. Expected light pitting.

A group of 18th and 19th century porcelain, comprising five pieces of armorial china, two of which are likely Chinese Export, decorated with arms and crest of Beckford, believed to be part of a set of armorial china commissioned by Alderman William Beckford (19 December 1709 - 21 June 1770) who twice held the office of Lord Mayor of London (1762 and 1769), a Meissen lobed cup and saucer, decorated in puce with gilt highlights, extensively damaged and restored, together with five pieces of Wedgwood pearlware, decorated in the Fallow Deer pattern, four plates, kettle stand and small pot. (13)Provenance: The Estate of Mr Joseph B. Hay, son of Major-General Arthur K. Hay DSO OBE - 100 years of a military family.
