A Chinese Kangxi Reign Lotus vase, circa 1700. Height 36 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This vase is in generally good condition with no repairs and no restoration. There are no hairline cracks. There is one small chip to the underside outer edge of the foot rim. The base of the vase has several firing marks which should be evident from our images. The vase is generally a good colour and the condition of the outer surface is also very good. The vase may have had a porcelain or wooden lid when originally made as the very top of the rim is not glaze. It is however interesting the pattern goes up to the rim top and would otherwise be covered by a lid. We will never know.
PAIR OF LARGE CHINESE STONEWARE PORCELAIN STRAIGHT SIDED, TAPERING, FISH BOWLS OR JARDINIERE, heavily potted and polychrome decorated in enamels, on a white ground with Doucai style decoration, comprising four Shou roundels with scrolling floral frames, swag decorated upper rim band and foliate band to the lower foot rim. Stylised scrolled waved pattern to the flat top rim suggests fish tank. Unmarked. 40cm diameter approx. x 34cm high. (2)(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Some minor blemishes to glaze in places and rather grubby but no obvious damage or restoration noted.
CHINESE PORCELAIN STRAIGHT SIDED CYLINDER VASE with flared neck, overall painted in Famille Verte enamel palette in the 18th Century style with figures, trees and birds on a white ground within a blue field. Double concentric underglaze blue marks to base. 21cm high.(B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: No obvious damage or restoration, areas of thin glaze around the neck and some minor glaze blemishes in places, wear around base.
