A 20th century Chinese carved soapstone ashtray decorated with an exotic bird and a dragon, length 18cm, a Chinese glazed figure of a female carrying a basket, further soapstone carvings, a modern porcelain figure of a seated gent and a small two-fold three panelled table screen (8). *Provenance: Professor B. Lofts.
Three Chinese carved soapstone seals each with incised characters to the bases, heights 7.5cm, 7.25cm and 6.7cm, a pair of further carved soapstone seals with plain bases, height 6.8cm, a circular brass tsuba, diameter 7.2cm and a small circular porcelain box and cover in original box (7). *Provenance: Professor B. A Chinese Republic period fine porcelain lobed bowl, the interior sparsely decorated with fruit, the exterior finely painted with a peacock and peahen amongst floral sprays with character script and character mark to the base, sold with a carved rosewood stand, diameter 16.4cm. *Provenance: Professor B. Lofts. CONDITION REPORT In good condition.
Japanese porcelain, printed and painted water jug with reserved figural panels, six character Da Nippon mark to base together with a Chinese porcelain bowl and cover decorated all over with peaches, bats and Shou characters in iron red enamels. Red painted seal mark to base and finial well. (2)
Mixed lot of 18th Century porcelain, comprising four Chinese polychrome teapots, one Imari teapot, probably Japanese, and one shallow blue and white sauce boat. (6) (Varying degrees of damage). CONDITION REPORT: Two handles have hairline cracks. Four out of five lids are chipped/damaged. Three teapots have bodies which are completely cracked all over. Four teapots have chipped spouts. Sauce boat has hairline cracks, frits and repair to front.
Mixed lot of 18th Century Chinese porcelain comprising four teapots, one water jug, one gravy boat and one 20th Century Yixing teapot, all with varying degrees of damage and losses. (7) CONDITION REPORT: All teapots have some damage, repair, cracks etc. Two teapots have no lids, one is missing a handle and another a spout though they are loose with them. The blue and white teapot has a repair to the handle. The water jug has no handle or lid and a chip to the spout. The sauce boat has had huge repair through body.
A 19TH CENTURY CHINESE BLUE & WHITE PORCELAIN DRAGON SNUFF BOTTLE, of larger than average size, the sides moulded with double buddhistic lion-head and ring handles and painted with dragons amidst flame and cloud scrolls, the base with a four-character Qianlong mark, 3.6in wide at widest point & 3.75in high.
