A pair of early 19th Century Chinese Export ware famille verte sauceboats of ribbed form with gilt and pale green lined bordering, the centres decorated with the letter E within a wreath raised on an oval foot 20.5 cm long x 11.3 cm wide x 6.5 cm high together with old typed explanatory note inscribed "Part of a magnificent Chinese Export porcelain dinner service George III period. C.1818. The centre of each piece is beautifully decorated with a script letter "E" in gilt surrounded by a be ribboned wreath in apple green enamels highlighted with gilt flowers; the rim in stylised swags in green & gilt. Base with matt orange/buff firing marks. This dinner service was given to Esther Priestman, daughter of Henry Tuke on her marriage in 1819 (Esther was born in 1782 & died in 1857) . The giver was Favill James Copsie (1788-1847). Esther gave the service to her niece Esther Tuke (1823-1874). She in turn gave it to her niece Edith Wilhelmina Tuke (1858-1952) who gave it to her great niece Evelyn Vowe (1925- ). All that remains of this fine service are now offered:" (The matching tureen, cover and stand from this service were sold at this Saleroom Lot 351 6th December 2013 for £650) CONDITION REPORTS Over all the sauce boats appear sound though with some areas of minor wear and tear conducive with age and use throughout. The handles are hollow and have a hole to the interior at the back which may or may not be part of the original design as both have a hole in the same area though it is a fairly rough hole. There are other areas of minor chipping/fritting particularly to the base of the handles in both cases and wear to the bases of both. Minor firing faults and blemishes throughout
A pair of late 18th/early 19th Century Chinese porcelain sauceboats of inverted helmet form, the main bodies decorated with floral sprays in oxide reds, blacks and gilt raised on an oval foot 24 cm long x 9.5 cm wide x 9.8 cm high CONDITION REPORTS Sauceboat one with hairline crack to one of the top lobes approx. 2 cm vertically. Some signs of wear and dirt to the base. Otherwise in good condition. Some blemishes to the glaze as in firing faults particularly to the underside of the handle exterior and underside of the spout exterior. A small firing fault chip to the left hand side of the spout. Sauceboat two with small hairline crack to the interior beneath the handle, also beneath the glaze approx. .75 cm. Some blemishes to the glaze particularly to the area beneath the spout, again firing faults. See images for further detail
An early 19th Century Chinese porcelain bullet shaped tea pot with black and gilt floral spray and banded decoration together with four similarly decorated tea bowls and seven saucers, two handled tea cups and a small pedestal bowl and five other various Chinese tea bowls CONDITION REPORTS The teapot has significant damage throughout both to the lid and main body, including large chips to the finial and rims. Break to the handle, etc. The four matching tea bowls all have chips, one significantly with a hairline crack running down. All saucers have chips with hairline fractures running from them. The two cups have some roughness to the rims and the pedestal bowl has hairline fractures running from the rim. The two further black decorated tea bowls have significant chips and hairline fractures. The polychrome decorated tea bowls all have hairline fractures. All items have general wear and tear conducive with age and use to include firing faults, losses to the decoration, in need of a good clean, some scratching and small chips, etc. See images for more details.

Small nibble and loss of gilt to the tip of the spout.1770 teapot - Rubbing to gilt on the knop, the original gilding on the spout on the teapot is now 85% rubbed. Jiajing six character mark to the base and of the period (1522-1566) Richly painted in intense shades of cobalt blue. Decorated with a continuous scene of figures in a garden, possibly alluding to Luo Guanzhong's classic work, "Romance of the Three Kingdoms". The shoulder is adorned with lotus flowers and lions. Delicately painted in intense shades of cobalt blue, depicting on the exterior a continuous scene of boys playing in a garden, accompanied by four ladies.
