A collection of Chinese export porcelain, to include a small meat plate, bowl, and box base, also an imari teabowl and three hardwood vase stands, 18th and 19th centuries, (7) the meat plate measures 27cm wide. Condition report: The bowl painted with figures is cracked, the box base chipped. The meat plate and teabowl are free from damages and restoration. The wood bases are free from damages
Collection of Chinese and Japanese porcelain, to include a charger, six Imari plates, sparrow beak jug and a saucer, 18th and 19th century, the charger measures 29cm diameter. Condition report: Hairline cracks to the borders of the pierced plates. Cracks to the jug. Restoration to the rim of one lobed plate. Minor rim fault to the charger. Minor rim chip to one octagonal plate.
Harbour Scene: A Circa 1840-1860 Chinese Fan, Qing Dynasty, with wooden sticks, finely and intricately lacquered in gold on black, the same scenes recto/verso and on the guards. The double paper leaf with three vignettes, depicts a harbour with one main building and several smaller, and a mix of fishing boats and larger sailing craft. The side vignettes depict different gatherings. To the left, a figure seated on a porcelain stool, holding a fixed fan, with others looking on, all with applied painted ivory faces and silk robes. To the right, the figures are listening to a speaker. The verso depicts a large assembly with a tree at the centre. Guard length 28cm. The fan is embellished with long mauve tasselsMonture sound and the sticks are bright, with small scale detail.
A Mid-19th Century Chinese Mandarin Fan, Qing Dynasty, the inner sticks in lightly carved ivory, the guards thicker allowing for deeper carving. The double paper leaf shows figures with applied painted ivory faces, and ornate silk robes, a central scene showing a couple of some import, the man seated on a porcelain stool, with a child at play. Many of the onlookers appear to be holding scrolls, one having just arrived on horseback. The verso shows another such scene, the robes elaborate, and many figures carrying fans. Guard length 27.5cm. Together with a fitted black lacquered box, the lid interior painted with exotic flowers and a bird on a branchOne inner stick, off centre, may be a replacement. The stick second in from the right has been repaired with metal. The leaf folds are rubbed and one or two appear restored. Box hinge is missing.
A Circa 1700 or Perhaps Earlier Chinese Painted Ivory Brisé Fan, Qing Dynasty, with twenty-two sticks and two guards. The painting, reminiscent of painting on Chinese porcelain, uses mainly orange, green and gold. Excepting for two, and also the guards, the sticks are pierced. A central vignette, flanked by one either side of smaller size and different shape, contains delicate stylised painting of trees and flowers. To the left, a butterfly is collecting pollen from flowers, different flowers providing pollen for the insect in the vignette to the right. This design is repeated in the main on the verso, except that the gorge designs, albeit chinoiserie, differ. Similar decorative borders separate the vignettes from the gorge. A fish is painted on one inner guard. Both guards are delicately painted with gold highlights. A ribbon effect is painted to the stick tips but the sticks are in fact linked by thread. Guard length 25.5cmWork required to re-secure the sticks. One very small chip to a corner of a stick tip.

A Chinese porcelain bowl of hexagonal form, six character Xuantong mark to base, length 21cm. Condition - good, no damage/repair, general wear with minor loss to decoration throughout. small imperfections to glaze including dark pits on inside of bowl, small glaze imperfections to top corner edge, top side edge with 5mm firing imperfection and couple of firing imperfections to base near marks as pictured.
