A pair of Japanese porcelain dragon decorated scent bottles, a pair of Satsuma ware miniature vases, a blue and white miniature vase, a pair of Chinese cloisonne miniature vases and a pair of carved Oriental wooden figures CONDITION REPORTS The two scent bottles have surface scratches, accretions, crazing etc. The pair of Satsuma vases have surface scratches, accretions, crazing etc. There is a small chip to the underside of the rim on one of them. The other has three chips, one quite large to the rim. The blue and white miniature vase has surface scratches, accretions and a chip to the shoulder of the vase and also a crack that runs across the shoulder of the vase. The two cloisonne miniature vases have surface scratches, scuffs, some discoloration, tarnishing to the metal, accretions etc. Both the wooden figures have surface scratches, scuffs, wear, accretions, discoloration etc. One of the wooden figures has two areas of loss, one to the base and one to the top. The other figure has an area of loss to one of the fingers. All items show general wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for details.
Two late 19th/early 20th century Chinese porcelain blanc de chine figures of a man and woman (af), a Dog of Fo (af), a sancai glazed example and a blue and rice work rice bowl (5). CONDITION REPORT: Blanc de chine female has losses to fingers, cracks and old glue repairs, the male has losses to the fingers, along with crazing dirt, the Blanc de chine Dog of Fo is badly damaged, the sancai example has some losses to the paintwork.
A pair of late 19th/early 20th century Chinese Famille Rose porcelain baluster vases painted in enamels with two panels of girls on a terrace, alternating with panels of flowers, dragons, auspicious objects and birds, all on a yellow fish scale decorated ground, height 35.5cm (2). CONDITION REPORT: One vase has 2cm hairline crack from the rim showing externally and internally, general pitting and scratches throughout.
A 19th century Chinese porcelain baluster vase with flared neck and everted rim, painted in underglaze blue with a female and two boys at play, with spurious Kangxi six character and double ring mark to base, height 30cm. CONDITION REPORT: There is light fritting to the rim, there are heavy glaze chips to the rim.
An opposing pair of 19th century Chinese Canton Famille Rose porcelain baluster vases, each with everted lobed rim, waisted neck and twin lion and pup handles and applied lizards, painted in enamels with panels of noblemen, warriors and attendants, all within peonies, chrysanthemums, lotus heads, pomegranates, peaches and birds, reserved on a white ground, height 62.5cm (2). CONDITION REPORT: The vases are potted slightly differently, with one more slender to the lower body and the other standing slightly taller. Rubbing to gilt, noticeably to upper rim, otherwise appear ok.
A pair of large Chinese porcelain Dogs of Fo on integral plinth bases with impressed character mark rectangular seals, height 48cm (af). CONDITION REPORT: One of the corners of plinth base has been broken off and reglued and same figure has got loss to one of its fangs, both with general surface wear commensurate with age, crazing to the glaze with areas of staining, areas of fritting to some raised parts such as paws and claws, no visible area of restoration.
A pair of modern Chinese porcelain Archaic type gu vases, painted in enamels with stylised birds, flowers and foliate scrolls on a blue ground between key fret bands, on metal stand, height 46cm, also two lidded jars and two dishes (6). CONDITION REPORT: Regarding gu vases, each has a small chip to the rim, rubbing to gilding throughout, one has 2cm firing crack to rim, one is detached from base, one is fixed, rubbing to raised angles.
